In the context of these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:

Samaritans means Samaritans, a Company limited by guarantee Registered Number 757372, a Registered Charity Number 219432, having its registered office at The Upper Mill, Kingston Road, Ewell, Surrey, KT17 2AF;

“the Website” means any website under the ownership or control of Samaritans from which a link has been created to these terms and conditions;

“the Material” means all of the information, data, text, graphics, links or computer code published on, contained or available on the Website;

"Entrant" means the individual, firm, company or organisation accessing this website and entering their details for the competition;

 

1. The competition is free to enter. All entries must include a high score, first name, surname and e-mail address. The entrant may enter as often as they like to reach the highest score.

 

2. The highest score at 11am on February 9th 2009 will be chosen as the winner of the competition and informed by email, so please make sure this contact information is correct. Samaritans will request the winner’s address by email and then post the prize to the winner.

 

3. By entering, all entrants agree to abide by each and all these terms and conditions which we may amend or vary at any time and our decisions, which will be final in all matters relating to the Competition.

 

4. This information may be used for marketing and research purposes by Samaritans, but any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. 5. The competition is not open to employees of Samaritans, MCM Net, their families, agents, or anyone connected with this competition. By entering this promotion, entrants are agreeing to abide by these rules and any conditions.

 

6. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize is not transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.

 

7. Samaritans reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any amendments will be published on this website.

 

8. Samaritans is not liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate in the competition. You also agree that, except and to the extent that it is not permissible by law to exclude liability (such as liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence or fraud), Samaritans and related promotional agencies shall have no liability to you in connection with your taking part in, or not being able to take part in, the Competition, or otherwise in connection with the Competition, or in connection with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded herein.

 

9. Samaritans reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in their sole discretion, a competition is not capable of being conducted as specified. Samaritans also reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable.

 

10. The Competition is governed by English law and we and you hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
